About the Program
The Diploma in Hospitality & Tourism Management (with Basic Culinary Arts) is designed for students who wish to build a solid foundation in hospitality, tourism, and culinary practices. This program provides pathways to the first year of selected university degree programs or further diploma studies in hospitality and tourism. It also serves as a recognized standalone qualification for those seeking direct entry into the industry at team member level.
Course Objectives
- Equip students with knowledge and skills to enter the global hospitality and tourism industry.

- Prepare students for immediate employment through hands-on training and practical learning.

Industrial Attachment (6 Months Internship)
Students will complete a 6-month industrial internship in the hospitality or tourism industry. Internship placements include restaurants, boutique hotels, travel agencies, and large international hotel chains.
This practical exposure allows students to:
- Apply classroom knowledge in real-world situations.
- Build professional networks in the industry.
- Receive valuable hands-on experience that is part of the program’s overall assessment.
Note: A training work permit is required for the internship. Approval is subject to the Ministry of Manpower. Students unable to secure a permit will complete alternative academic assignments.
